王丞相為揚州，遣八部從事之職。顧和時為下傳還，同時俱見。諸從事各奏二千石官長得失，至和獨無言。王問顧曰：“卿何所聞？”答曰：“明公作輔，寧使網漏吞舟，何緣采聽風聞，以為察察之政？”丞相咨嗟稱佳，諸從事自視缺然也。
